The Old Well at the Bottom of the Garden Project
The old well at the bottom of the garden had been covered for years with a piece of plywood but the customer wanted to make a feature of it by restoring it to its former glory.
They asked many local builders if they would attempt the job but all refused until Matt Gallimore was called in. He looked at the job, assessed the risks and decided he could do it safely.
The first part of the job was to re-point the stonework at the top of the well so that the new stonework could be built on top.
A rabbit stone was included in the stonework before finishing off with edging blocks infilled with stone chippings, pebbles and pots to give a decorative effect.
The customer was very pleased with the finished result.
